Five Centuries of Spanish Music – International Homage to Father Antonio Soler from all epochs- supported by ANU School of Music and the Embassy of Spain- .More than 100 Concerts and 84 pianists and organists from five continents are offering high level Concerts in Celebration of Father Antonio Soler 230 anniversary.

PIAZZOLLA – ANNIVERSARY. Passionate, sensual and intimate: a tribute to Astor Piazzolla. Piano: Marcela Fiorillo

Presented by Dr. Gerardo Dirie – Queensland Conservatory of Music. Australian Poet Geoff Page will take us into the mystery and shadows of Tango through part of his “Eight For Astor” Poems. Dancers Karina and Fabian Conca will transport us to the port of Buenos Aires in a combination that will include “the music, dance, the myth, passion, sensuality and seduction of tango”. The Ambassador of the Argentine Republic, his Excellency Pedro Villagra Delgado, will officially open the event.

Autumn Estampes
In celebration of the 150th birthday of Claude Debussy and Canberra’s 99th anniversary with the support of Canberra Festival, we are proud to present a Marcela Fiorillo piano recital: “Autumn Estampes”.

Two anniversaries – Claude Debussy’s 150th and Canberra’s 99th – are celebrated in this concert capturing the fascination, colour and sound of Debussy’s best piano music such as “Claire de Lune”, “Preludes” and “Estampes”, while also featuring the premiere of “Autumn”, composed by Marcela Fiorillo, inspired by the stunningly beautiful autumn landscape of Canberra.
